OMAS Pucci Collection

One of the latest and most unique pens to come forth from OMAS is the Pucci collection, a group of three vibrant, colorful ballpens aimed squarely at the fashion market. The noted designer Emilio Pucci and Omas have joined forces to create a very different limited edition.

Each of the three unique designs is embellished in Pucci's signature style. Three versions are available, each using a base design in black and white, and punctuated with two other color schemes: geranium-mint or peony-nile. The pens themselves are airbrushed resin, with satin finish steel accents.

This construction results in a pen with good weight, they're not going to go overlooked in your hand, but they're not so overly heavy that you wouldn't want to actually use the things either. The tip extends via the traditional twist mechanism, rotating the end of the barrel puts the pen ready for use.

In terms of that use... Well, let's just say that the design of the Pucci collection is not going to be for everyone! It's a very vivid group of pens, but with that in mind, if you're looking for something that announces your style loud and clear, here you go! Emilio Pucci fashion is known for the signature use of color and shape to create a bold statement. The OMAS Pucci collection takes this style in stride, and the result are pens that definitely stand out from the crowd.

On the other hand, they are very useable ballpens. Just the right size, they are wide enough to be very comfortable to use. Short enough to fit easily into a pocket or purse, they should prove to be both a very utilitarian tool, as well as a fashion statement. Not a bad combination! The refil looks to be the standard OMAS ballpen refill, and nothing special in that regard, just a good, reliable ballpen, with either black or blue ink available.

The Pucci colelction is being released in a limited edition series of 3,872 single pens. Each pen is packaged in a standard size OMAS presentation box, with outer slipcover in a matching Pucci design. The pens are sold with an embossed OMAS leather pen case. List price is $295.
