What's New November 2005
The Blue lacquer finish is a deep reddish blue, almost purple under some light. The trim is a bright silver finish, which complements the cool tones of the blue lacquer.
From Conway Stewart, a new twist on their popular Sterling Duro model, the Windsor Limited Edition. We're scheduled to have a full review of this pen in the December issue, once we can get a production example, but the pre-production sample looks first rate. The Windsor is based on the Duro model, which makes it a mid sized pen with a slightly tapering cap and barrel in the traditional flat-top style. Like the regular production Sterling Duros, the cap and barrel are solid silver, with an acrylic overlay. With the Windsor this overlay is a bright marbled blue. The trim is also sterling silver, and this is where the Windsor departs form the regular production Sterling Duro. Conway Stewart have contracted with one of the best firearms engravers in England to cover the cap top, cap band, and barrel end in deep relief engraving. The result is a pen that has enough style to stand out, but is still elegant enough to be at home in almost any pocket!
New from Bexley, the Armed Service Collection, honoring America's Military. These great little pens are produced in four colors, each representing a branch of the armed forces of the United States. Dark blue for the United States Marine Corps, White for the Navy, light blue for the Air Force, and Dark Green for the Army. Each pen is complete with an inset medallion of the service emblem on the cap top. These pens are available with either Bexley's standard gold nib, or with a gold plated steel nib.
